In early 2019, eight Labour Members of Parliament left the party in protest at Corbyn’s handling of Brexit and antisemitism. According to Gary Gibbon on Channel 4 News (1982), under his leadership Labour has been accused of becoming “sickeningly institutionally racist with a culture of bullying, bigotry and intimidation”. In May 2019, the Equality and Human Rights Commission launched a formal investigation into the party.


One of the most surprising endorsements for Corbyn at the 2017 general election came from the heavy metal magazine “Kerrang!”, which put him on the front cover.
